Gas is back to around $2.70. My 2001 Toyota Echo is squeezing

44 miles out of each gallon. Hopefully it will keep doing so for a long time.<br>

I hope my Echo lasts long enough so that my next car is pure electric. A normal hybrid
like a Prius has extra stuff to be able to run on either gas or electricity, so their
cruising mileage suffers from the extra weight. Compare my lifetime MPG of 44.6 with
